Abstract

|
The purpose of this study was to delay the advance of late-life disability by grasping the bio-psychosocial variables that have affected the performance of daily lives for the aged. As for the survey, this study was to execute the questionnaire s an object of the 439 aged, over 65 years old, who resided in the area of Busan. The main findings of this study are as follows. First, The significant relationship with disability of daily livings are the respondent¡®s age, education levels, history of hospitalization in the last three months of this study, number of diseases. Second, the hospitalized experience, the number of diseases and the greater depressed was increased disability of daily living whereas vision, hearing ability, physical function, cognitive function, communicative competence and social relationship was reduced disability of daily living. Third, these findings provide the potential for pychosocial intervention to prevent of disability. In conclusion this study was to discuss the and suggestion according to these study results.
